M Ariful Islam is an experienced business driver with a demonstrated track record of leadership and management roles in digital, technology transformation, strategy, customer management, and retail business. With over 20 years of experience in digitizing cross-industry businesses, IT, and core software development, M Ariful is highly competent in delivering actionable analytics and next-generation information management. He is currently the Head of Data and Analytics at PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad, where he is responsible for driving the digital transformation agenda, data-driven organization, and enterprise data hub in a multi-cloud environment. M Ariful's key focus areas include driving corporate data literacy, value realization from data-driven use cases, marketing cloud, and designing cloud-ready analytics services to enable cross-industry collaboration to build a digital ecosystem. He has also led multiple projects in various focused areas to drive business, including centralizing data platforms, customer value management, targeted marketing campaigns, and business performance management. Prior to joining PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad, M Ariful served as the Head of Analytics, Information Monetization, and BigData Management at Celcom Axiata Berhad. In this role, he managed six units under AIM department, including AIM-ISD, AIM-CSD, AIM-BI/NBA project delivery and enhancement, AIM-Solution Design and Delivery, AIM-Technology Delivery Management, and AIM-Operation Delivery Management. He was also responsible for managing EBI and NBA practice, monetization programs and contextual marketing, and big data strategy and monetization. M Ariful holds a BSc in Engineering from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology and a Leading Organizations and Change degree from MIT Sloan Executive Education. He is highly skilled in AI, software engineering, machine learning, data science, and ETL.
